If you don't understand marketing, you don't understand the world

Author of Marketing Curious. Head of Marketing in deep tech manufacturing and financial advisory.

We live in a commercial world. Everything is marketed to you. Everything is sold to you. The feed you scroll, the news you read, the community you join, the house you bid on. Marketing isn't an industry you can ignore. It's the water.

So this site has two halves.

How I see the world

I wrote a book about the systems underneath the things we buy, believe, and share. Marketing Curious isn't a marketing manual. It's a sense-making book: a church, a tulip, a graveyard of failed businesses, a breakdown, and the frameworks that came out the other side.

The rougher, faster version of that thinking happens on Substack. The articles here sit somewhere in between.

How I work

I'm a marketer. The frameworks I actually use are public, and each one lives on its own site, built for a specific kind of person.

You run a small business and marketing feels like noise. Start at Traffic + Offer. Two levers. Nothing else.

You have a website and nobody finds it. Go to Opportunity + Authority. Organic growth without the tricks.

You're building with AI and everything comes out generic. You need 4 Quadrant AI. Human-led. AI-augmented.

You just want to understand why any of this works. Read The Trust Algorithm. The theory underneath everything else.

Not sure which you are? The universe map shows how it all connects.
